Questions or concerns
Will a property management company get a higher price for renting my unit?
A property management agency has a more in-depth understanding of the market than an individual owner, especially in the specific context of the Gatineau-Ottawa area. Thanks to its expertise and comparisons with other properties it manages, it’s highly likely to secure a fair price for your property.
If I work with you, will you handle all communication with my tenants?
LR Property Management is responsible for carrying out administrative and maintenance tasks, and facilitating communication between landlord and tenants. Our aim is to minimize your involvement as a landlord: all requests are therefore channeled through us, and we take charge of resolving them.
Is property management expensive?
Have you ever considered the value of the time invested in managing your buildings versus the amount it would cost you if these tasks were entrusted to a firm specializing in the field?
Rental management costs are calculated as a percentage of gross monthly income. Our rates are very competitive. Contact us to find out more.

When are the inspections to be carried out and is it the manager or me, the owner, who has to carry them out?
As a standard precautionary measure, it is crucial to carry out a regular annual inspection of each dwelling to assess its condition. LR Property Management undertakes to carry out this routine inspection when a tenant leaves and before a new occupant moves in.
It’s important to note that entrusting the rental management of a property means delegating supervision and all the responsibilities that go with it. Our team is fully responsible for carrying out these regular inspections.
How do I choose my tenants?
When we take on rental management, it’s our responsibility to choose quality tenants, to avoid any problems for both the estate agency and you, the owners. We have strict selection criteria that we follow meticulously. Here are just some of the measures we take:
- Meet the prospective tenant in person.
- Collect proof of income and contact the tenant’s employer.
- Verify existing or past case with the ‘’Régie du logement’’.
- Ask for identification.
- Carry out a credit check.
When a tenant doesn't pay, what do we do?
Our property management agency takes care of all the necessary follow-ups with the tenant, while respecting the laws and regulations of the Régie du logement.
Suppose I want to entrust you with the management of my building: how can I be kept informed of its progress?
Our team constantly monitors the progress and profitability of each property. We’re always happy to provide you with detailed, accurate reports on our day-to-day operations and the progress of your property’s profitability.
What’s more, each month you’ll receive a deposit statement with the names and addresses of each tenant, as well as the amounts paid during the month.
What happens when one of my tenants has a blocked sink? How is the emergency handled?
As property managers with a rental management mandate, it’s our responsibility to respond to tenants’ requests. Our agency has a vast network of contacts to deal with any emergencies, whether minor or major, that may arise in your property. So you can count on us to handle these situations!
